033: Gill airbrush painting of 'Bathing Beauties,' from the Forties. The art of Hawaiiana artist Gill reflects a time period during WWII when artist materials became of lesser quality and consequently few originals have been preserved.
Gill was able to convey a sense of elegance and femininity of the Hawaiian lady with his stylized renditions.
